Things I Miss

I can’t handle sterility

Math problems 

The application of physics

Cold of winter 

I love hands and their warmth

On a shoulder or 

Over soft fabric 

Grass and those micro itches it causes 

When winter ends 

And spring gets back 

I think I’ll kiss everything 

That was gone 

The sun 

Life in the trees 

And me – 

I have been gone too long
